Tracking the Elephants

Found this neat little app for Google Earth that allows you to track the elephants in Africa. It's very interesting to open throughout the day and take peak at where they have wondered to. I was searching for one to track whales when I came across this. Being a fan of both elephant and whales, this one works too. :)

Project Cell Update

Still working on Whitey. I've been busy with other stuff, so I have not had much time to really work on my short. Started setting up the skeleton for him though, and roughed out a quick little sword so he has something to hold on to. Anyways, here are some pictures.

(excuse Jessie; she's available!)

You can find all of the pictures, in original sizes, on my Flickr photostream:

I guess it was only a matter of time before me reign came to an end.  The interesting thing is, when I first made the video, I emailed They Might Be Giants and asked for permission to use the song in my video, to which then responded, "...the content of the agreement is for people performing new material or their own material under what's called a work for hire and gives you (aaron) the copyright to the whole magilla.  which we can't sign, because the band doesn't have the right to turn over all those rights to you, or to anyone."  To me, that sounds like they do not own the rights to the song.  The email further says, "...as for our own ability to perform the song, we pay for the right to include that song on the album and the original songwriters earn royalties that correspond to a percentage of the sale price of an album.  but that's the extent of the rights the band has in regards to that song."

Oh well, no big deal.  I actually have two versions on that video on YouTube.  They took down the one with the most views, but I still have another one on there.  The differences between them are the intros and the outros.  It had a good run, I'm not upset over it.  It seems searching for it still shows the video.  I guess it is not gone completely yet.  You can check it out before it's too late.  It's pretty sweet. :)
